Description:

Columbia College seeks an Instructional Technologist who will work as part of a team to develop online courses, creating learning resources to enhance the learning environment and implementing innovative technologies to enrich the student experience. The Instructional Technologist will support Online Campus instructors using the learning management system (LMS) Desire2Learn. This person will also be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues for end users, both instructors and students, as well as testing new versions of the LMS and other software as indicated. Occasional travel to professional conferences and some weekend training will be required.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include: a Bachelor's degree (Educational Technology, Instructional Technology or a related field preferred) and three years technology experience as it relates to training and system administration or the equivalent education. Excellent interpersonal skills, superior initiative, a creative outlook and the ability to organize multiple tasks are also required.

A Master's degree and experience in a higher education setting working with faculty and/or experience as a system administrator for a software system are preferred. Experience with all Adobe CS applications preferred.
