ETC Community Series: Capstone Proposals: 9/8, 7pm

Title: How to write capstone proposals Date/Time: January 26, Wednesday, 7-8 pm Arizona Time. Speaker: Dr. Chih-Hsiung Tu Sponsor: ETC Community Where: Elluminate: ETC Virtual Space. This presentation will give students an opportunity to get updated on the ETC program news; & to learn about writing proposals, such as capstone project proposals, course project proposals etc.  There will also be time at the end for questions and discussion. EDUCAUSE and NGLC Announce Second Wave of Funding

Today, Next Generation Learning Challenges (NGLC) announced a second wave of $10 million in funding to expand promising technology tools and applications to help more students prepare for college. It was also announced that The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation is investing $1.4 million to broaden NGLC's funding of grants to innovators. ( View the full press release .)  The focus of this second wave of funding is on secondary education, specifically proposals that outline promising technology-enabled instructional and assessment materials to improve mastery of 7th-9th grade level content and competencies, aligned with the Common Core State Standards . Planning on Graduating at this Spring's Commencement?

Hi all, I know that I’ve sent this out before and in several communication tools. However, it is important enough to send another remainder.  Are you planning on graduating and attending Commencement this Spring? If so, please be aware of the commencement changes due to the Dome being renovated in the forwarded email below.   Remember, that you need to have your graduation application submitted to the graduate college by the 2/11/11 deadline.  However, you need to make sure that you give your adviser time to review your application.  In other words, make sure you get your graduation application documents to your adviser in plenty of time for  him/her to review and submit it though to our Department Chair. I recommend that if you are, have your graduation application submitted to your adviser by January 31, 2011.
