Graduation Application for Spring 2014

Just a quick note to let you know that if you are planning on graduating in May 2014, you will need to get your graduation application submitted soon.   Here's the deal...applications for graduation for spring 2014 are due on December 1st.    BUT that is if you want to attend Commencement AND have your name in the Commencement Program.    If you miss the deadline, you can still come to commencement and walk across the stage AND have your name read, but your name won't be listed in the program.   THIS IS IMPORTANT: Even if you miss the deadline AND aren't planning on attending commencement, you still need to submit a graduation application.  Here is the reason...submitting the graduation application begins the process of having your degree post to your transcript.  In other words, your degree won't post, just  because you complete your course work -- you must submit a graduation application.   Here's how you submit your graduation application.

Job: Substitute Position

Thank you so much for helping us with this endeavor of trying to create a larger bank of substitutes.  Attached is the posting that we have placed on Craigslist, put in the Williams paper, the Grand Canyon paper, and the AZ Daily Sun.  Because of our remote location, rates actually change based on distance traveled.  Because of that it makes it very tricky to say what the exact rate would be because it is based on the location in which they are coming from.  I can tell you that the beginning rate of pay for a one day substitute is $75.00 per day which I believe is in line with Flagstaff Unified.  Again, there is a wage adjustment based on where the substitute is coming from. Thank you and please let me know if there is anything I can do to help!   Kevin L Dickerson Business Manager Grand Canyon Unified School District #4 100 Boulder Street PO Box 519 Grand Canyon, AZ 86023   (P) 928.638.2461 (F) 928.638.2045
