Instructional Designer

This is a professional exempt position that reports to the Director of Instructional Design Unit. The Instructional Designer will support faculty in the development of additional hybrid and online courses, the revision of existing courses, completing the ID course assessment process, delivering professional development training for faculty, assisting faculty with their instructional technology needs, developing and revising instructional tools. The Instructional Designer will provide pedagogical as well as technical support to faculty in designing online courses that promote student learning through the effective use of technology based on proven design principles.

Instructional Technology Specialist

The Instructional Technology Specialist will perform as a Secondary Learning Management Administrator to provide support for online and hybrid courses atSPSU. The Instructional Technology Specialist will provide technical support to faculty in developing online and converging courses that promote student learning through the effective use of academic technology. He/she will also provide technical support in the use of Desire2Learn LMS, Wimba, Live Classroom, Impatica, Respondus, Turn-it-in, etc. This position will play an integral role in supporting Desire2Learn implementation at SPSU.
