INSTITUTIONAL EXCUSE-STUDENT TEACHING DAY

Since this is an  NAU Teacher Education sponsored event for the student teaching course, Friday, April 8th can be counted as a professional day that you will not have to makeup. Please have a conversation with your cooperating teacher and university supervisor PRIOR to the career fair if you will be missing classroom time for this event.

REGISTER FOR THE EVENT TODAY BY CLICKINGHERE!

This event will be broken up into two sections:

1)      CAREER FAIR MEET & GREET- This is your opportunity to walk around and meet all of the districts in attendance and sign-up for interviews that will take place that day! Future Student Teachers will also be able to review potential locations for their student teaching and we will have special forms for you to complete with the district to request a change in placement. This event will be 9-11 am on Friday, April 8th.

2)      INTERVIEWS - All interviews that you signed up for during the morning Meet & Greet will take place in the afternoon from 1-6 pm on Friday, April 8th.

This event is an opportunity for you to:

  • GET A JOB! Interviews will be conducted from 1-6 pm on Friday, April 8th! You will be able to register for interviews at the districts of your interest at the morning Career Fair   Session from 9-11 am.
  • Meet Employers! Where else can you meet this many employers in one location, or be seen by them?!? Future Student Teachers will have the opportunity to research and explore potential districts to student teach in from all over the state of Arizona!
  • Invest in your future! A recruiter at the fair may not have an opening in your content area now, but they may in the near future! Come and make that contact at the career fair Friday morning!
  • NETWORK! NETWORK! NETWORK! Multiple chances to have face-to-fact contact with a recruiter and a chance to polish your networking skills.
