For the NMC On the Horizon > Increasing Focus on Open Content event on October 1st, we're exploring a Horizon Project trend. The movement toward open content reflects a change in the way educators and scholars are conceptualizing education. Information is everywhere now; the challenge is to make effective use of it. Often mistaken to simply mean "free of charge," advocates of openness have worked toward defining "open" more broadly - not just free in economic terms, but also in terms of ownership and usage rights. Hear perspectives from a panel of thought leaders on how this theme is materializing across different learning sectors and how it can be successfully addressed.

Join the NMC and our panel of experts on Wednesday, October 1st at 8am PT / 10am CT / 11am ET   (check for local time). This one-hour session will be held in the Google+ On Air platform and broadcasted live on YouTube. Participation is free for all attendees.
